The Category Management function with the business is a key supply chain lever that must integrate seamlessly with both Procurement Enablement and the Bid Teams to drive real world value creation from 3rd party supply to sales, with the focus on competitive advantage for increased EBIT, Revenue and NPAT.
Totals spend for the business is $4billion plus, with key expenditure to be managed including HVAC, Traffic Management, Materials, CAPEX, Catering, Soft & Hard Services, Materials, MRO, Professional Services, Subcontractors, and the broader corporate services.
Engagement will be as important as technical capability, requiring strong fiscal and commercial expertise with key benefits being presented to engagement with the projects, which have values of between ($250m – $2billion). The business requires a “GET IT DONE” attitude while the maturity curve is realized.

Strategic Portfolio Leader requires experience managing complex, high-value projects across Defense, Transport, Telecoms, and Infrastructure sectors. Expert in category management, procurement strategy, and driving cost and revenue optimization within multi-billion-dollar portfolios. Adept at integrating supply chain functions, fostering stakeholder collaboration, and leveraging market insights for competitive advantage. A results-driven professional with a proven ability to deliver operational excellence and maximize EBIT, Revenue, and NPAT.
• Manage a $1B+ portfolio spanning Defense, Transport, Telecoms, and Infrastructure projects.
• Lead a team of category managers to develop and implement comprehensive spend strategies.
• Consult with project stakeholders on category planning, aligning spend with business objectives.
• Provide market insights on suppliers, innovation, and economic trends to guide procurement decisions.
• Drive integration between Procurement Enablement and Bid Teams to enhance sales competitiveness.
• Oversee expenditures for key categories, including HVAC, Traffic Management, CAPEX, MRO, and corporate services.
• Deliver cost management initiatives contributing to increased EBIT, Revenue, and NPAT.
