As part of this transformation, we are seeking a Contract Manager – Technology to join the Corporate Services Division. This division plays a key role in enabling service coordination, resource optimisation, and joint innovation initiatives across the organisation.
About the Role
The Contract Manager – Technology will be responsible for autonomously managing the full procurement and contract lifecycle for engagements of moderate complexity. This includes all aspects of contract initiation, negotiation, execution, administration, and compliance. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio that includes telecommunications, mobile applications, cloud services, software-as-a-service (SaaS), and ICT professional services.
Operating with minimal legal support, this role requires a high degree of self-sufficiency, initiative, and strong commercial acumen, particularly in drafting and negotiating ICT contracts.
- Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership of the contract management lifecycle for moderate complexity ICT engagements.
- Lead procurement processes in alignment with organisational frameworks and governance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of ICT contract documents, including software licenses, SLAs, SoWs, variations, and extensions.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and applicable policies.
- Utilise contract management systems for accurate and timely documentation and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver effective sourcing and commercial outcomes.
- Provide expert advice on contract risk, privacy, security, disengagement, and cloud compliance considerations.
- Desired Experience & Capabilities
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in contract management, with proven responsibility across the full contract lifecycle in ICT categories.
- Expertise in negotiating and drafting key contractual terms, including service delivery models, risk allocation, and legal provisions.
- Demonstrated experience managing telecommunications, SaaS, cloud platforms, and ICT professional service agreements.
- Familiarity with contract management tools and systems.
- Strong understanding of procurement frameworks and governance principles.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and the ability to build trust and alignment across technical and non-technical audiences.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines in fast-paced environments.
- Sound understanding of ICT systems and commercial structures, including data privacy, IP, information security, and exit planning.
